A little over an hour’s drive east of my home in Ashland, the Klamath Basin is one of the most important waterfowl stopovers on the Pacific Flyway. Every year, hundreds of thousands of Snow and Ross’s Geese form immense flocks that wheel against the backdrop of mountains and the often stormy slate-blue sky.
